Conducting the Class

  • Check Your Setup: Test your microphone and camera in advance. Dress professionally and be punctual.

Free Trial Classes

A trial class is first and most important step in the enrollment process.  In order to facilitate a trial class, you must:

  • First, confirm the date and time of the trial class on the website and on your calendar.
  • On the day of the trial class, inform your student regarding your trial class  30 minutes before the class starts. You can send them a text on their WhatsApp number or you can also send an e-mail. You can find your student’s contact details on the website.
  • You can notify the student once again if they haven’t joined the Google Meet after five minutes.
  • If the student failed to show up after 10 minutes, cancel their reservation on the website and leave Google Meet.
  • If the instructor has an emergency and need to postpone the trial class, send a private message to “EnglishWays” on Skype to confirm and reschedule. If there is no response up to 5 hours before the class, ask in the teacher’s group chat for a replacement. The new teacher will have to add the class on their panel with the student mail, and the initial instructor has to cancel the class on their panel.
If there is no other teacher and no response from EnglishWays, reschedule it with the student.
    · During a trial class, it’s important to get to know the student first and build rapport. To properly determine the student’s level, ask as many questions as you can and evaluate their responses. Determine their objectives and interests. Find out if they would like to use the instructional materials.
  • The trial class lasts for 25 minutes.
Deliver Value: Ensure the student gains something meaningful from the trial.
